I recently attended a Roundtable discussion with Senator Dan Sullivan in Ketchikan with local elected leaders, business owners, and industry representatives.
I value discussions such as these because I get to hear from the front lines what business owners and industries in Southeast are facing — it’s important that elected officials know and understand entrepreneurs’ challenges, concerns, opportunities, and successes.
What was particularly important about this meeting was Senator Sullivan brought along with him the Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves. It’s not every day a high-ranking federal official gets to hear directly from Alaskan business owners.
