The Juneau Economic Development Council (JEDC) has released their annual Juneau and Southeast Alaska Indicators Report . Annually, JEDC compiles a variety of statistical data in an effort to measure economic conditions and trends in the region. The report covers employment, demographics, school enrollment, taxes, house inventories, transportation and a number of other areas. It concludes that while Southeast was clearly impacted by the national economic recession in 2009, there were a few bright spots and some indication that things should improve in 2010.
