The Forest Service is currently conducting a 5-year review of the Tongass National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan. The plan was most recently approved in 2008 and now the Forest Service is seeking feedback from the public on whether the plan is working as promised or whether some changes are needed. The public comment period opened last month and will remain open until March 31, 2013. Upcoming public meetings in Southeast are scheduled in: Sitka on February 13th at Harrigan Centennial Hall; Craig on February 20th at the Craig Tribal Association Hall; Ketchikan on February 21st at the Ted Ferry Civic Center and; Juneau on February 28th at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center.
