The Conference Committee finished its work on the FY2011 Operating Budget this afternoon. The committee was convened to resolved differences between the Senate and House versions of the budget. I served as one of the Senate’s conferees in my role as co-chair of the Senate Finance Committee. We reached consensus on several items, and recommended a budget that significantly revised the Governor’s request and also sustains important public services.
