Congratulations to the all of the Southeast Alaska student-athletes who participated in the Alaska School Activities Association / First National Bank Alaska 2015 baseball and softball state tournaments as well as the statewide track & field meet. Your dedication and commitment has not gone unnoticed.
Just the accomplishment of being able to participate in the statewide competition is an achievement, in itself, that you should be proud of. I know I am very proud as I know the district was well represented.
I’d like to recognize the Ketchikan High School softball and baseball teams, the Petersburg High School track & field team, and especially the Sitka High School softball team who took the 2015 State Championship title. Congratulations!
A very special recognition and acknowledgement to the parents, coaches, athletic directors, umpires, judges, referees, booster clubs, and other volunteers who make these opportunities possible. Without their endless support and assistance our youth would not have these boundless opportunities available to them. Thank you.
