{"id":457,"date":"2010-03-10T14:30:06","date_gmt":"2010-03-10T22:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bertstedman.com\/new\/?p=457"},"modified":"2010-11-17T16:28:21","modified_gmt":"2010-11-18T01:28:21","slug":"fort-rousseau-state-park-bill-passes-legislature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bertstedman.com\/new\/?p=457","title":{"rendered":"Fort Rousseau State Park Bill Passes Legislature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The legislature passed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.state.ak.us\/basis\/get_bill.asp?bill=HB%20276&amp;session=26\" target=\"_blank\">House Bill 276<\/a> today amending the boundaries of <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.alaska.gov\/parks\/plans\/ftrousseau\/ftrousseaump.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Fort Rousseau Causeway State Historical Park<\/a> in Sitka.\u00a0 This is a housekeeping bill that helps finalize a longstanding community priority.<\/p>\n<p>In the run-up to World War II, the army built several fortifications encircling Sitka Sound.
