{"id":409,"date":"2010-02-18T14:30:16","date_gmt":"2010-02-18T23:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bertstedman.com\/new\/?p=409"},"modified":"2010-11-17T16:24:32","modified_gmt":"2010-11-18T01:24:32","slug":"bill-signed-into-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bertstedman.com\/new\/?p=409","title":{"rendered":"Low-Speed Vehicle Bill Signed into Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Governor <a href=\"http:\/\/kcaw.org\/modules\/local_news\/index.php?op=sideBlock&amp;ID=691\" target=\"_blank\">signed<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.state.ak.us\/basis\/get_bill.asp?bill=SB%20%2059&amp;session=26\" target=\"_blank\">Senate Bill 59<\/a> into law this week.\u00a0 I sponsored this bill to expand road access for low-speed vehicles in Alaska communities.\u00a0 Electric car technology\u00a0has advanced substantially in recent years. Low-speed vehicles can help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and provide\u00a0cheaper transportation for Alaskans.
