{"id":2129,"date":"2012-03-16T13:08:39","date_gmt":"2012-03-16T21:08:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bertstedman.com\/new\/?p=2129"},"modified":"2012-03-16T13:10:21","modified_gmt":"2012-03-16T21:10:21","slug":"industry-support-groups-testify-on-sb-192","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bertstedman.com\/new\/?p=2129","title":{"rendered":"Industry Support Groups Testify on SB 192"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This morning, the Senate Finance Committee heard testimony from three resource industry trade and support groups on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.state.ak.us\/basis\/get_bill.asp?bill=SB%20192&amp;session=27\" target=\"_blank\">Senate Bill (SB) 192<\/a>, the oil and gas tax bill.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aoga.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alaska Oil and Gas Association<\/a> (AOGA), <a href=\"http:\/\/alaskaalliance.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alaska Support Industry Alliance<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.akrdc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Resource Development Council for Alaska<\/a> (RDC) presented their thoughts on SB 192 and answered Committee questions.<\/p>\n<p>Committee members also heard testimony from the <a href=\"http:\/\/doa.alaska.gov\/ogc\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission<\/a> (AOGCC).\u00a0 AOGCC is an independent, quasi-judicial state agency that oversees all oil, gas, and geothermal development on state lands.\u00a0 Their testimony was specific to the SB 192 provision that would create a Public Information Management System managed by AOGCC.<\/p>\n<p>Presentations and audio from today\u2019s hearing\u00a0are available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.state.ak.us\/basis\/get_minutes.asp?session=27&amp;Chamb=S&amp;Date1=03%2F16%2F2012&amp;Date2=03%2F16%2F2012&amp;Comm=FIN&amp;Root=&amp;Button=Display+Minutes+Summary\" target=\"_blank\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Next Monday, March 19, the Senate Finance Committee will hear public testimony on SB 192.\u00a0 On Wednesday, industry testimony will continue as BP, ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil will have an opportunity to weigh in on SB 192.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning, the Senate Finance Committee heard testimony from three resource industry trade and support groups on Senate Bill (SB) 192, the oil and gas tax bill.
