{"id":1678,"date":"2011-11-18T15:00:19","date_gmt":"2011-11-19T00:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bertstedman.com\/new\/?p=1678"},"modified":"2011-12-01T11:08:43","modified_gmt":"2011-12-01T20:08:43","slug":"rdc-annual-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bertstedman.com\/new\/?p=1678","title":{"rendered":"RDC Annual Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week I attended the Resource Development Council\u2019s (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.akrdc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">RDC<\/a>) annual conference in Anchorage.<\/p>\n<p>RDC is a statewide business association that represents Alaska\u2019s oil &amp; gas, mining, timber, tourism, and fisheries industries. The two day conference had over a thousand people in attendance and was an excellent opportunity to discuss Alaska resource policy. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.akrdc.org\/membership\/events\/conference\/2011\/presentations\/\" target=\"_blank\">Presentations<\/a> ranged from oil and gas activity around the state, energy development, mining projects, and discussions on how to grow Alaska\u2019s economy. In Southeast, resource based industries have always driven our economy.
