Dick was a long-time Southeast leader and served Sitka in the legislature for over 20 years.\u00a0 He was a champion for\u00a0our state&#8217;s\u00a0fisheries, and led passage of Alaska&#8217;s ban on salmon farming. As one of my predecessors in the Senate he leaves a venerable legacy, and I greatly benefited getting his perspective on issues facing our state. My condolences go out to his wife Patricia and their family.
